IPTV-Americas was designed with the sole purpose of facilitating the implementation of IPTV services in Latin America. The founders have extensive experience in the development of the Pay-TV industry in Latin America including the launch and operation of the first satellite dedicated to Pay-TV in Latin America (PAS-1), the launch and distribution of several programming channels, and the start-up of several cable operations. IPTV-Americas has over 100 years of combined experience in the Latin American media industry.

The services have three distinct components:

    The IPTV Head End:
The IPTV Americas Headend (HE) is in Miami and connected to the NAP of the Americas for full connectivity with the Service Operators in Latin America and the Caribbean. The HE converts MPEG-2 signals from Program Line-Up to MPEG-4 signals and transmits them through the IPTV Americas IP network to the Local NAP or Data Center of the Service Operator. At the HE, IPTV Americas is able to monitor and control the network and its content. In addition, the HE can provide services like Digital Music, Pay-Per-View Events (PPVE), Video on Demand (VOD), Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and other potential services. The HE is able to provide Billing information to the Service Operator by monitoring the Set Top Box (STB) at their customer premises. The Monthly fee will consist of a Fixed fee and Variable fee based on the number of Subscribers.

    Fiber and Satellite Distribution:
IPTV Americas delivers its signal from its HE to the NAP of the Americas where the signals are connected to the Latin American and Caribbean fiber optic network and satellite providers. Through its partnerships, IPTV Americas can deliver the signal to a regional POP. The Service Operator can therefore choose to receive the signal from the NAP of the Americas or from the regional POP depending on the demarcation point. In both scenarios, IPTV Americas monitors the system all the way to the STB.

    Additional Products and Services:
By aggregating its products and services IPTV Americas offers affordable solutions to the Service Operators. IPTV Americas offers a program line-up that consists of approximately 60 Basic channels, 15 Premium channels, and 20 digital music channels. IPTV Americas offers additional services to facilitate the purchase of middleware solutions, conditional access services, and related equipment such as Set-Top-Boxes.
